Dr. Kent Jensen received his Doctor of Optometry from the University of Missouri in 1988. He pursued post graduate studies in Physiological Optics at the University of Houston while serving as a teaching fellow at the College of Optometry. Always looking for a new challenge, Dr. Jensen took a position as a contact lens researcher with the United States Army. While working out of the Army Aviation Research Laboratory, Dr. Jensen investigated the use of contact lenses in the Apache attack helicoptor throughout the world. Upon completion of the study, Dr. Jensen once again found himself back in Texas joining Eye Associates of San Antonio, an ophthalmic surgical practice. Prior to opening Jensen Eye Clinic in November of 2006, Dr. Jensen was in a large variety of practice settings. While on staff at the Audie Murphey VA Hospital, he established the Optometric Diabetes Clinic at that location. Dr Jensen has completed advanced training in glaucoma and therapeutic optometry. This allows him to diagnose and treat most forms of eye disease, infection, and trauma.
